Medford
Medford Knife and Tool was founded in 2010 by Greg Medford, a USMC veteran, in Phoenix, Arizona. Unlike many knifemakers who start as home-based operations, Medford opened a modern factory equipped with CAD design and CNC milling from the outset, though most of the work is still done by hand rather than fully automated. The brand quickly became known for overbuilt, no-compromise designs: thick stock, substantial handles, and a distinctive, instantly recognizable style that stands apart from slimmer, lighter-weight competitors. Steel is sourced from Niagara Specialty Metals in upstate New York, and every knife is made entirely in the USA. Medford knives sit at a premium price point, reflecting the hand-finished construction and materials behind each piece.
