This Cold Steel Drop Forged Hunter is a fixed blade knife with real provenance, coming straight from the personal collection of Cold Steel founder Lynn Thompson and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by him. Inspired by the work of French knife maker Michel Achez, it is drop forged from a single piece of 52100 high-carbon steel, so the 4" drop point blade and integral handle form one solid, seamless tool. 52100 is a tough, non-stainless bearing steel that takes a keen edge, and its gray powder coat protects it from the elements, though a light wipe of oil on the edge keeps rust at bay. With a 5mm thick flat ground blade, a lanyard hole and a brown leather sheath, this new-in-box piece is as ready for the field as it is for Your collection.
