The 1482 TDI is a purpose-built last-resort blade for law enforcement close-quarters situations where firearm access is compromised. The 3 5/8" AUS-8A stainless drop point is powder coated black for low visibility, mounted full tang on durable Zytel scales and backed by a reversible hard plastic/Cordura sheath designed for ambidextrous belt carry with MOLLE compatibility. This is a specialized defensive tool, not a general utility knife, engineered for quick off-hand deployment in extreme circumstances.

In extreme close quarters encounters where a suspect is attempting to take an officer's handgun, or the officer cannot access his/her handgun, the TDI knife is available. Designed as an "off hand" knife that draws like a pistol, the reversible sheath can be worn on either the right or left side of the officer's belt.
