The Ontario TAK-1 in partial serration is a robust, full tang fixed blade built for hard field use. The 4 5/8" 1095 carbon steel blade arrives with a black phosphate coating and a partially serrated edge -- 1095 is a high-carbon steel valued for toughness and the ability to take a keen, easy-to-resharpen edge, with the trade-off of requiring attention to prevent corrosion, and the phosphate coating offers a degree of surface protection. The partial serration adds versatility for rope, webbing, and fibrous materials without giving up the plain edge section for everyday slicing tasks. Olive green linen micarta handles provide a secure, textured grip with classic field aesthetics, and a lanyard hole rounds out the package.
Overall length 10". Blade length 4 5/8". Blade steel 1095 carbon steel, black phosphate coated. Partially serrated. Handle olive green linen micarta. Full tang. Lanyard hole. No sheath included.
