The SOG Tech Bowie in black is a modern interpretation of the classic Bowie that put SOG on the map, rebuilt with contemporary materials and coatings. The 6.4" AUS-8 blade at a substantial 0.24" thickness is coated in SOG's Hardcased Black TiNi finish -- a hard, wear-resistant coating applied over satin finished stainless steel hardware for a striking all-black appearance. AUS-8 is a mid-range stainless steel that balances edge retention and toughness, further refined by SOG's cryogenic heat treatment process that stress-relieves the steel at the atomic level for improved toughness and edge retention. The Kraton rubber handle nods to tradition with interspaced white washers for a distinctive, unmistakable look. A Kydex sheath is included.
